How do I set up an Apple Account for my kids?

If you’re the Family Organiser, you can create an individual Apple Account for your child. Open Settings. Tap your name, then tap Family. Tap the Add Family Member icon in the top-right corner of your screen, then tap Create Child Account and follow the onscreen instructions.

What do I do if my kids are already using my Apple Account?

If your kids are using your Apple Account, they’ll be able to access your personal content, including messages and photos. You also won’t be able to use all the available family features. Start by creating a child account (see above for instructions on how to do that). Once that’s set up, you can sign out of your Apple Account on their devices and sign back in with their new child account and unique Apple Account.

How do I sign my kids out of my Apple Account on their devices?

Open Settings. Tap your name. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Sign Out. Once you’ve signed out of your Apple Account, you’ll be able to sign back in using your kid’s Apple Account.
